I have gone to 2 orthodontists and a maxillo facial surgeon, they admit i have a narrow palate but dont want to give me a palate expander, they want to expand my palate with braces. Will braces expand my palate ? Also do braces push maxilla back ?

Braces are commonly used in orthodontic treatment to align teeth and correct bite issues. While braces can help and be usd for widening the dental arch and creating space for proper alignment of teeth, they may not directly expand the underlying bone structure of the palate.
Palate expansion, on the other hand, is a specific technique that aims to widen the upper jaw (maxilla) and the palate itself. So the two are a little different
As for the maxilla, it really depends. Some orthodontic treatments with braces may be retractive which would push the maxilla backward. But some other treatments don't affect it too much, so it really depends on your case.
