Ok if sides of the tounge touches the sides teeths?

  • Hello,

When mewing correctly. Is it meant for the tounge to be touching slightly aginst the side teeths?

Not the front teeth but the side.

It feels impossible to keep it only in the middle of the maxilla.

  • Hey, Thats a common question for mewing.

The goal of mewing is to keep the tongue in the roof of the mouth and exert gentle pressure on the maxilla, which is the bone that makes up the upper jaw.

When you are mewing correctly, your tongue should be positioned with the tip of the tongue behind the front teeth and the back of the tongue against the roof of the mouth. It's important to note that the tongue should not be pressing against the teeth or the gums. Instead, it should be resting in a on the roof of the mouth with a slight amount of pressure. The pressure is created through the suction hold.

    Hope that helps :)

As for the side teeth, it's not necessary for your tongue to touch them while mewing. The main focus should be on keeping your tongue in the middle of your mouth and pressing gently on the maxilla. With practice and consistency, you will be able to improve your mewing technique and feel more comfortable with the tongue position over time.
