An arched palate forms as the maxilla collapses, so a high-arched palate usually stems fro incorrect tongue posture over time.
When you mew you start to widen the palate, and this process of widening the palate reduces the apparent arch of your palate.
Ssually the less arched the palate, the stronger the facial development. The wider the palate the stronger the facial development. And you cannot have a high-arched palate and wide palate at the same time usually.
