Tips on dealing with uneven pressure

  • So I just got into mewing recently and feel a pretty noticeable pressure imbalance on my pallete. I used to chew with my left side all the time. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with this, but now when I mew, I feel the left side of my tongue press up a lot better and stronger than my right side. Will this cause my face to become more assymetrical? Will my right side ever be able to catch up if I'm applying pressure at such an uneven rate? Any tips would be appreciated!

  • Regarding your question, if you feel a noticeable pressure imbalance on your palate, it may be due to the fact that you used to chew on your left side more often than your right. This can cause your left side to be stronger and more developed than your right.

It's important to keep in mind that facial asymmetry can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, injury, or underlying medical conditions. Simply mewing or chewing more on one side may not be enough to correct an imbalance, and in some cases, it could even exacerbate the issue.

Addressing the root cause of the asymmetry is important, and this may involve a holistic approach that includes addressing any underlying medical conditions, working on posture and body alignment, and seeking professional guidance from a healthcare provider or a specialist in craniofacial asymmetry.
